ORGAMIKA · Throat Doctor · 200ml

For the throat that says something's coming.

One tablespoon delivers the equivalent of 585 elderberries — 4800mg of organic elderberry as a 16:1 extract, in a base of organic raw honey. Four ingredients, nothing else.

Benefits of daily use.

Soothe

Raw honey is thick and slow-moving. A spoonful coats the throat as it goes down, which is much of why it has been the first thing reached for across generations.

12X potency

A 16:1 fruit juice extract concentrates the fruit twelve times over — 4800mg per tablespoon, the equivalent of 585 whole elderberries in a single spoonful.

Anthocyanins

The deep purple-black colour of elderberries comes from anthocyanins — 153.6mg of them per adult serving, occurring naturally in the fruit itself.

Most syrups are sugar with flavouring.
This is fruit and honey.

Read the back of most elderberry syrups and you'll find glucose syrup, citric acid, natural flavouring, preservative. Throat Doctor has four ingredients: organic elderberry, organic raw honey, organic glycerin from flax, and organic lemon juice. The sweetness is the honey.

Four ingredients. That's the whole list.

No glucose syrup, no citric acid, no artificial flavouring, no preservatives. Everything in the bottle is organic, and everything is there for a reason.

01

Organic Elderberry

4800mg · 16:1 Fruit Juice Extract

Sambucus nigra as a 16:1 juice extract — 585 elderberries concentrated into every tablespoon. The dark pigment carries 153.6mg of anthocyanins per adult serving.

02

Organic Raw Honey

12g per serving · Unheated

Raw rather than pasteurised, so it keeps its natural viscosity. This is what gives the syrup its coating texture — and all of its sweetness.

03

Organic Glycerin

From Flax · Not Corn

A plant glycerin base derived from flax, carrying the extract and keeping the syrup stable without preservatives.

04

Organic Lemon Juice

Concentrate · Natural Acidity

Lemon juice concentrate balances the honey's sweetness and does the work that citric acid does in commercial syrups — without being citric acid.

Not all elderberry syrup is equal.

Most of what's on the shelf is glucose syrup with elderberry flavouring. Here's how Throat Doctor compares, line by line.

When to reach for it.

01

At the first scratch

The moment a throat starts to feel rough is when a spoonful is most welcome. One tablespoon for adults, one teaspoon for children aged 4 to 12.

02

Straight, or stirred in

Take it off the spoon so it coats properly, or stir into warm water or tea. Shake the bottle before pouring.

03

Through the season

Many people take a daily spoonful right through the colder months rather than waiting. Refrigerate after opening.

The winter trio.

Level up your ritual. Throat Doctor soothes; Immune-C and Organic Liquid Zinc keep the routine going underneath it.

Questions, answered.

Sixteen parts of elderberry fruit juice concentrated down to one part extract. It's a measure of concentration — 4800mg of 16:1 extract represents considerably more fruit than 4800mg of unconcentrated juice would.
From age four, at one teaspoon (5ml) rather than the adult tablespoon. Because it contains raw honey it is not suitable for infants under 12 months. Each bottle holds about 40 child servings.
11g of total sugars per adult serving, essentially all of it from the 12g of raw honey. There is no added sugar, glucose syrup or sweetener of any kind — the honey is both the base and the sweetness.
Store in a cool, dry place, and refrigerate after opening. Shake before each use, as natural separation is normal in a syrup with no emulsifiers.
Raw honey is unheated, which keeps its natural thickness and character. That viscosity is much of the point — it's what allows the syrup to coat rather than simply run past.
Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, lactating, taking medication or have a medical condition. This applies to any supplement, and elderberry is no exception.

Real results, real relief.

Keep a bottle in the cupboard.

Thirteen adult servings of organic elderberry and raw honey, from R 92.23 a serving.
